NC Museum of Art gets expert advice on how to make beautiful bouquets ::

The NC Museum of Art is gearing up for its fourth annual Art in Bloom fundraiser and event.

To promote the event, which runs from March 22-25, the museum has launched a series of explainer videos on its Facebook page where local floral designers share their tips for creating centerpieces. I’m probably not the only one who can turn a beautiful bouquet of flowers into a mixed mess in a vase, so I thought I’d share links to a few videos here.

With spring flowers blooming, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to create your own bouquet!

Art in Bloom will feature over 50 florists from across the country. Florists are randomly assigned a work of art from the museum’s permanent collection and tasked with constructing an art-inspired flower display, according to a press release.

During the four days of Art in Bloom, tickets are required to access the permanent collection in the Museum’s West Building. The east building and museum grounds will remain open and free to visitors. Tickets are $18. It’s free for children 6 and under.

As part of Art in Bloom, the museum will be offering a flower-themed scavenger hunt from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 24 and 25. The walk-in event allows visitors, who have purchased tickets, to follow clues on a treasure hunt map. to find flowers and “artistic” treasures in the galleries.

Tickets are on sale now on the museum website.
