Hawaiian culture practitioner Kaipo Ah Chong will once again offer his popular tropical flower arrangement workshop from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Niaulani campus of the Volcano Art Center in Volcano Village.
Leave the workshop with your own arrangement to take with you and enjoy. The finished flower arrangements are sure to evoke a feeling of paradise in your home.
Or extend your aloha to a friend or loved one with an arrangement you’ve artfully put together yourself, perfect for any occasion.
A tropical agricultural farmer and member of Halau Na Kamalei, Ah Chong will share his expert skills in this hands-on workshop. Explore 3-dimensional color and texture with tropical flowers. Choose from a range of flowers like anthuriums, orchids, ti leaves, ginger, and heliconia, to name a few.
Course fees are $ 45 for non-members and $ 40 for VAC members, plus a $ 20 provisioning fee. Please bring a pair of clippers.
Cleaned tropical flowers will be provided.
Pre-registration is required. To register, please call (808) 967-8222 or visit www.volcanoartcenter.org.
