Athol Daily News – Learn Flower Design Sunday at Royalston Workshop

ROYALSTON — On Sunday, July 24 at 2 p.m., Ferron Dooley Fairchild will lead a floral design workshop at City Hall, 13 On the Common, Royalston. Pre-registration is required by calling the library at 978-249-3572 or emailing [email protected] Fairchild will teach attendees the concepts and principles of design, sharing which flowers work best and when and how to harvest different varieties. She will share helpful tips on arranging flowers and using a variety of non-flowering materials. There will be a wide variety of flowers and vases for everyone to choose from to create their arrangement.

Ferron is a flower grower and floral designer in Turners Falls. She has seven years of experience in flower farms and design businesses in Long Island, southern Maine, Boston and western Massachusetts. She is a firm believer in increased accessibility to flowers, floral design, gardening and agriculture for everyone and enjoys sharing her passion for flowers.
